Google phone set to launch

Posted: 8 January 2010 in Uncategorized , , by gareth

Speculation is rife on the arrival of the much anticipated Google-branded mobile phone, codenamed Nexus one, the phone that was reportedly beta tested by Mountain View’s employees recently.
Photos of the Nexus One have appeared online at gadget site Engadget who report that it is built by HTC, has a 3.7inch screen, five megapixel camera and of course, runs version 2.1 of the Android operating system. Initial reviews have been mediocre, with Endgadget saying that it is not really very different from existing Android phones.

It is expected that Google will sell the phone directly to customers and that it will also be available, subsidised, from mobile operators.

Whether bringing a diet tool into search fray will rocket Bing to the hights of Google’s success is yet to be seen… but I doubt it.
